From Christchurch: A scenic 2.5-hour drive north along State Highway 1, taking you along the dramatic coastline with stunning sea and mountain views.

From Blenheim: Just under 2 hours’ drive south along State Highway 1, passing through the world renowned Marlborough wine region and rugged coastal landscapes of the northern Kaikoura coast line.

By Air:

Helicopter: Direct helicopter transfers to Ata Rangi Lodge can be arranged from any location in New Zealand offering a breathtaking aerial view of the Canterbury region and Kaikoura’s mountains and coastlines.

Plane: For small private plane arrivals, Kaikoura Airport is just a 15-minute drive from the lodge, where we can arrange a car or helicopter transfer to bring you directly to Ata Rangi.
